Thank you for supporting relief efforts for earthquake/tsunami victims in northeast Japan. Through your support, you've put Christ's love into action. Yards and farmer's fields have been cleared of debris left by the tsunami. Boats were rescued to get fishermen back to their livelihood. Damaged homes have been cleaned and disinfected in preparation for rebuilding. Festive and nutritious meals have been provided to residents of evacuation centers. Fun activities, including sports practice and English language instruction, have been provided to encourage children.

Recent relief efforts include the October 4-7 trip, during which over 90 CAJ high school students and staff partnered with Samaritan's Purse to provide relief in Ishinomaki. Says Anda Foxwell, high school principal, "During our trip, we were able to help victims by removing debris and cleaning homes. The people we helped were so appreciative, and the students were able to encourage them. I was pleased to see that we could help and that our students grew as a result of helping others."

Other trips and activities are in the planning stage.

Thanks again for supporting relief efforts, for putting Christ's love into action.
