MS volleyball teams earn two wins in three matches at Seisen

Middle school volleyball had two of its three teams get wins at Seisen on Saturday. The A Team won 2-1 (12-25, 25-20, 18-16), the B Team lost 2-1 (18-25, 25-17, 13-15) and the C Team won 2-1 (20-25, 25-13, 15-12).

The A Team was able to pick up a big comeback victory over the rival Phoenix, who are known for having strong volleyball teams.

"After a slow start, our girls really started to play well," head coach Steve Hall said. "They served well, played good defense and had some nice attacks. There were some really nice rallies and some great hustle plays. Things are starting to come together both offensively and defensively."

The B and C Teams also had solid performances. Assistant coach Lorne Anderson noted that "both teams served exceptionally well, which was nice to see."

The middle school volleyball squads will all play at ASIJ next Saturday to wrap up league play.
