On-Campus Fundraising[edit]

  1. All fundraising efforts directed towards sources outside CAJ must be coordinated through the Department of Development.
  2. All fundraising efforts directed towards sources outside CAJ must follow the following steps:
    • A Fundraising Application, found on the CAJ staff and Knights portal, must be filled out and shared through Google Docs with the Department of Development at least ten school days prior to the event.
    • All fundraising events need to include a clear description of the organization or cause they are fundraising for. This would include the beneficiary’s name, a brief description of the beneficiary, and a description of how the funds collected will be used. This information needs to be clearly displayed at all fundraising events and whenever a collection box (whether for cash or noncash contributions) is used on campus. An example of a noncash collection box may include a book drive, food drive, or clothing drive, etc.
  3. Fundraising efforts cannot put undue pressure on any student, parent, or staff member to participate in or give a donation in response to the fund-raising.
  4. Fundraising efforts must offer products or services for sale that are of good quality and of honest value for the cost assigned to them.
  5. All donations must be used for the purposes for which they were solicited.
    • If excess funds are obtained and it is feasible to contact the donor, the intentions of the donor must be followed in the disbursement of the gift.

All fundraising efforts must be well-coordinated to guarantee their effectiveness.
